Census Bureau: 71.9% of people in Canyon County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 227,367 citizens living in Canyon County in 2021, 71.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 163,530 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 80,642 were male, constituting 49.3%, and 82,888 were female, making up 50.7%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Canyon County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 74.7%.
