Description:
The Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center and Sun Valley Ski Patrol are collaborating to kick off Avalanche Awareness Week and the Rescue Challenge with a Community Beacon Practice. Head to the beacon park at the top of Bald Mountain any time between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, February 25th to run through the beacon course. Don’t know how to use one? Friends’ Instructors and Ski Patrollers will be on hand with avalanche transceivers to teach you how to this critical backcountry tool! Running through the course enters you into a raffle for sweet prizes!
